Anyone got any opinions on the Fox Float 32 RLC?

They came on my Trance X and I'd say they are the best 120mm forks I've ridden with. Don't really notice small bumps and they really soak up bigger hits (like staircases in Milton Keynes city centre) beautifully.

Sorry if I was a little vague its going on a Orange 5 Pro.

For mostly trail centre riding in Wales and locally for Leith Hill, Holmbury Hill etc.

I have '06 130mm Float R's on my Orange 5, superb fork, only niggle with the '06 R is a touch of brake dive, but the RLC version doesn't suffer from it.

I ride similar stuff to you by the sound if it, the Orange 5 with a Float fork feels superb on trail centre trails, I do red & black trails on my 5, still not serviced the forks since new 18 months ago (Bit skint!) & they still feel superb.

I've got a pro with a Float R - the lockout on the RLC can be useful (I don't miss it personally) but the Bike Radar reviews say the compression damping (the C bit) is really hard to notice. Unless you need the lockout I'd save the £100 and get the R (which I did)

Ther is a test on this site seem pritty good

I have 36 r's on my Orange 5 AM must say i look down and has you wind up the hill you
see the forks bobbing up and down and wish they had lock out!

My thoughts are that all Talas R forks are mainly for going down the hill
and if you want to go up or have control on the fork then best look for
    the RLC

If these are to expensive take a look at the Pike 454 which is a good adjustable
    fork.

Take a test bike out with these two forks and try them for the fork.
  • I've got the Talas 140's. They are an awesome fork, gave me great performance for the last 10 months but the stanchions are showing signs of wear (poor seals) and the travel adjust and lockout have stopped working properly.

If you get a pair you'll love them but be prepared to be on first name terms with the guys at Mojo

'08 models have supposedly had a lot of work done on the seals...

I've read that Fox have sorted their reliability, but they still have a slightly fishy reputation with a lot of riders.

FWIW, I've gopt nothing but praise for my '07 F80s and I'm currently awaiting delivery of an '07 Float RL for my new bike build.

I was recomended that when not using the bike to leave it upside down
has there is two sponges etheir side on top of the stantions
So in doing this keeps them well lubed up as when you stand
the bike the right way up there is plenty of oil covering the whole
    fork.

Mine has Fox 90RLs - (more or less Floats) - I love them and the lockout is very handy.
Smooth, light, easy to adjust the pressure in them and seem very strong to me.

Oh and they look cool which is vital 8)
