was thinking of getting some mavic CPX33's built into track hubs for my fixed to get the deep V look without rims which weigh more than the bike!

Saw a bloke on a stunning fixie on Box hill sat AM (black nameless frame, White toupe saddle ans bar tape) with Navigator Pista wheels on, looked proper Gucci, any one know if they are any good, only 165 quid a pair (alu not carbon). Given they are track wheels, can they hack the london roads?

Got some Navigator Pista on my fixed, and while they do look the biz, especially with a black frame, I think they suffer somewhat from only being 28h. The back wheel seems to go out of true very often, in fact mines at the lbs getting that sorted right now, well along with a general service.

they seem heavy - the roadcyclinguk review lists them as 2kg in weight for the pair - surely you could get the CXP33's built into a lighter wheel than that

    they do look nice though!

A few of my club's track bikes have Navigator Pista wheels, and I've heard about problems with them going out of true
