Somehow I seem to be the only one who (eventually) got the cycling.tv feed working, and I tell you what, that performance by Gilbert was seriously impressive.

Quick Step on the other hand

Leif Hoste must be taking tips from his team-mate Evans too... spent the whole time at the back of the chase group and then started shouting at the other stragglers for not pulling their weight. Must be in the Lotto training manual.

Nah, I got it working. Took a while, but manage to get it back just before Gilbert made his attack, :D

I wonder if Gilbert's Waloon-ness upsets the Flemish? Do they care any more? (I reckon they do.)
You just have to ride like you never have to breathe again.

50km to. In a gale. With QuickStep behind. And he wins with a minute's lead.

Most definitely - a mate in my club was watching Tour of Flanders last year and got talking to some locals. He made a bit of a faux pas when talking about good Belgian riders by including Gilbert and it was forceably pointed out that Gilbert was a Walloon not a Flandrian! Almost as bad as being French to a Flandrian!
