computers with cadence

I need a new computer , I thought I'd get one which reads your cadence. I bought a cateye strada with a wire. When I fitted it the cadence senser was to far from the crank magnet to read anything so I tried to put a spacer behind the magnet in doing this the magnet fell out and I lost it so I,ve sent it back and asked for my money back.
Is there anyone out there who's had this problem and are there any better computers than cateye to buy, I,ve had wireless ones before but had problems with them also. I'd be grateful for any advice
Regards
Bruce

It's a bit pricey but works well0 -
My Polars CS200 & 400s worked fine for about the first 1500k and then always one of the three sensors was dropping. Im now waiting patiently for the new Cateye V3 which is supposed to be the mutts nuts...Fitter....healthier....more productive.....0
