Budget Pedals for XC

Anyone have any recommendations for cheap yet sturdy pedals for XC and some DH?
I buy from chain reaction and am a little spoilt for choice..
Also, I've noticed some lads using the those little pedals... Are they any good?

For XC I would go clipless:

not the best pedal but cheap.
For DH you might want to try another pedal like the Shimano M647 depending on how confident you are clipless, otherwise use flats.0 -
Does it have to be CRC? Wellgo MG1s from High On Bikes for £30."Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling." ~James E. Starrs0

You won't find much to rival the Shimano M520s at that price. They're cheap enought hat if you don't like clipless, you can just switch to flats and not worry about the money!0

True you do need compatible shoes, but you can easily get hold of a pair that can be used with flats and SPDs, so you won't lose out either way0

Hmm, I like those littles ones but I ride all the time to work, gf's etc. Not only xc. Although I do only wear 1 pair of riding trainers I'm bolloxed if they get wet.
Those ones from High on bikes look good though. It says they will fit most pedals... So I should be alright with these?:

EDIT:

Well like I said, it says those pedals will fit most cranks... So will they fit the cranks I linked too as that's what I have.
And the 2nd link, would they fit and are they any good?0 -
I got white wellgo MG-1's And they are awsome.
So light, I thought the box was empty.
Got them from high on bikes, great service, next day delivery.
been using them for about a month now, not one quibble

Says they're for DH/Freeride so I should be ok!0 -
They may not last very long, but then for that money it doesn't really matter."Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling." ~James E. Starrs0

I've been running them for 18months now, bit grumbly but you can easily strip and clean them which makes them much happier.0

Well my current pedals are making all kinds of noises and odd feelings so I got myself some MG1's... Thank god for a sudden "bonus" in the cash flow department.
They look really nice, but am dreading it if I ever catch them on my shins... Which I do alot, but only when walking with someone while trying to dodge around ignorant pedestrians... Now I have something good to take their shins out with
Thanks for the tips guys & girl(s)?!0
