i was wondering if anyone had tried running a customised rear cassette,
iv been thinking, coz i ride all the same stuff and never use all 9 gears, that i should maybe use the 8 spd rear to better affect.
does anyone know if it makes a huge difference running literally 11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18 tooth rear cassettes (im getting ready for a massive d/j ing year and wanna be best suited for every trail without going singlespeed, and having a rediculously long chain)
also, i was looking a some trials bikes the other day and i saw they were running their rear mech's really tight up to the frame. could i do this on my d/jing beast?\
cheers for you help

You might be better off loking at the ratios available on road cassettes if you're planning on using a straight thru cassette.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0
