my question for the forumites/peasants is this:

Is a flared headtube a biggie or is it something to just keep an eye on/can it be resolved?

you may be able to rescue it by fitting a headset with a deep fit like a steel set but you will need the frame preparing and checking that it will fit.

Personally bin the frame.
