Given that recently the great anti-christ of cyclists has sent heavy winds every saturday and sunday and looks like doing the same this week, how about changing the weekend to tuesday and wednesday when, traditionally, the weather is superb. That way we get to ride in the good weather during the new weekends and, as before, we get to do diy and gardening when the weathers censored on a saturday and sunday. Everyones a winner in my book.
