specialized fsr shock upgrade

i have an 07 fsr comp.with an x-fusion shock.i would like to upgrade this shock for a better performing shock.i am told by specialized that it is a custom shock and a triad is an alternative.has anybody any experience of this upgrade and can any more suggestions be offered.

    My wife has got an X-Fusion on her Myka FSR...

    What are you actually finding wrong with it? I know the latest review said it was only adequate rather than amazing but it seems to be doing a perfectly good job. Even just pedalling her bike around the car park I've noticed no major bobbing and it seems smooth enough...

    I tried the Stumpjumper Elite with the triad shock

    Theres full-lock Pro-pedal and Fully open
    was an ok shock but no adjustment on the Pro-pedal
    not like the Fox rear shock

    Just an ok shock

    Go to a local bike shop and take a bike out to
    try along the road and test the shock.

    had a fox on my previous bike.can so tell the difference in quality.im on my second x-fusion in 9 months.the frame is amazing,starting to think that if id spent more money and got the expert i wouldnt be having this problem now.it may come to a conclusion if selling the frame and buying a spesh with a fox .
