I have just succumbed to my desires (again!) and bought all the rest of the kit for my new build in one go despite promising the missus that I would get it over a period of time!
So I just have to wait for it all to turn up from its various countries and then we're off!!
Bring on the summer!!

tubes are michelin Aircomp ultra light and tyres are Michelin Krilion carbon in black and grey.

Who says it's got to be on the bars?0 -
Why the heavy tyres?0

Sounds like a bit of a weight weenie to me, can't wait to see it mate. Great ingredients for a nice build.
But as soon as the ProRace 3s come out if it were me, I would bung them on it, summer's round the corner anyway.0 -
Yeah I was thinking either pro race or vittorias but I have a spare set o fnew michelins and they're only 235g each. Would like some lighter tyres though but they have to be durable with low rolling resistance aswell as being light.
By my reckoning it should weigh in around 13.5lbs give or take.

Cheers Red. They're always the first upgrade on any of the bike I care about as I get pretty painful hands and using normal bars makes it worse.
280 roughly from a place in Italy called Lordgun bikes. Super friendly and helpful people.

mmmmm - that frame is soooo nice.. lol - My fave is the CLX - you will have to give us some tips on where to get good deals from abroad mate? best of luck with the build - cant wait for end pics
adios

I was considering a CLX but its not a thorough bred Colnago. Although designed in Ialy its made in Taiwan in the same factories as Scotss and Specialized. I wanted a full on Italian frame hence the E1. Still the CLX is a beauty.
Search search search is all I can say. Took me a couple of months of looking and comparing and working out if things from aborad were actually cheaper when you take into account customs/exchange rate and postage.
Build will be delayed until next month I think considering I just got my pinarello back from servicing and its cost considerably more than I was hoping and expecting :?
