new shoes 661/ nike???

decided to splash out on new spd shoes. can,t decide between Nike YVR + or 661 stingers. Both heavily discounted on web from 70quid to 30 + 35 respectively. Problem is which ones, the nikes look nice n light but very racy the661s look tougher. I do xc but not race . Are 661 any good for xc, they seem to appear in d,hill ads a lot. Both are spd compat' any ideas??? cheers!
