A friend and I are cycling from Altea to Granada at the beginning of April route is roughly:
Altea-Villena, Villena-Caravaca de la Cruz, Caravaca-Baza, Baza-Granada. This is a very rough route depending on fitness, weather, alcohol consumption etc.
Has anyone travelled these roads before and have any suggestions on places to visit, alterations to enhance the trip, state of roads, or even if the trip is better the reverse-way due to prevailing winds ! We know that there is a Via Verdes on the way to Caravaca which we may well include in the trip.
Any suggestions will be gratefully appreciated, thanks!

Get up ealy to get tickets for the Alhambra in Granada - worth every euro. Take a taxi up to snow in Sierra Nevade - still regretting I didn't do that!0

Hi there
We have a cyclist friendly B&B in Cadiar in Las Alpujarra mountains. It's probably a bit too south for your route (South east of the Sierra Nevada - about 2 hours drive from Granada) but if you had the time and fancy some big hills and fab roads, give us a shout.0
