Sauce ideas for cold pasta

HI,
I am starting to take old pasta to work with chicken or ham in it. On it's own it is a little dry. Does anyone have some tasty sauce ideas to add to the pasta?

Typical woman
What you need is a carton of sweet n sour sauce from your local chinese,or make a pot noodle and empty that in there=========================================
Dot 4 in the eye hurts. Trust me0 -
Keep it simple, just a little very high quality olive oil (don't spend less than £10 for a bottle) with salt and black pepper.
Or....slice up a grilled chicken breast and half an avocado. Another dressing of olive oil and maybe throw in a sprinkle of pine nuts
Or...roast off some tomatos with several cloves of garlic. Throw in some rucola and olives, and a glug of that lovely olive oil
yum, I feel hungry now0 -
Hmm, usually the meat sauces are best when the meat is cooked with the sauce. Pasata and chilli is good on the go, but I agree, balsamic and virgins rule ;-)0

Chopped onions, garlic, fry for a couple of mins, stir in some passata and some mixed italian herbs, simmer for 10 mins then stir it into your pasta.
you can always add peppers and courgette to beef it up a bit!0 -

Did I say you were fat? Someone is paranoid.
I didn't say you said I was fat! I was making the point I'll eat whatever, I don't care whether its good for you or not. A BMI of 19.5 begs to differ with that paranoia statement too..0 -

Fry an onion, add bacon or tuna, add a tin of chopped toms, heat, add a tablespoonful of sugar (to cut the sharpness of the toms), add chillis (crushed are best), capers, olives, a little balsamic, add some veg if you have it (spinach, peas, brocolli), season, add to a saucepan of drained pasta and mix in. Stir on a low heat to allow the sauce to mix properly with the pasta.
Eat with a glass of light red wine.0 -
salad cream and a teaspoon of mustard. sprinkle in a bit of mixed italian styley herbs and you are away. maybe add some finely diced peppers for crunch.
i do this with tuna pasta and it is mega, not very refined or chefey but really good.0 -
