As I now work in Sheffield and drive home past Chapeltown I was wondering what sort of trails there are at Wharncliffe, is it all downhill stuff or is there somethign else on offer.
I was thinking of this as I finish early on Fridays and a couple of hours could be a nice way to end the week.
What else is ther along that kinda route?
Oh yeah while I'm here, are there any good bike shops near Darnall?

As you can see, I live in Chapeltown, and Wharncliffe is the local ride. It has a mixture of everything - 6 DH routes, jumps, freeride, all the way down to Sustrans fireroad. And the bits in between, a marked XC route, a crag top trail and tons of singletrack to explore. I still havent found everything!
There are some decent local woods as well with some trails, but probably not worth coming from afar to visit - good for me to link up on a longer ride, with a bit of road in between (Westwood country park, Chap park, Greno Wood)0 -
So would wgarncliffe be a good idea for a short afternoon on a Friday?0

Absolutely! PM me your email address and I'll send you a map.0

Take the tent! Doesnt look that big on the map, but lots of hidden stuff inside. Links up to the crags and moors to the north, and hop over the main road into greno woods.0
