First off....great site.
Ok, I am looking to spend about £1250 on a mountain bike upgrade and would appreciate any advice. As you may have guessed I'm am larger than your average biker, not a big chunky monkey but tall and athletically built . 6'3 and and about 220lbs (16 stone).
Looking for a bike which will be suitable for my size and that I can horse around with on my local tracks and trails. Looking for a hardtail, prefer to spend the extra on better components/frame than full suspension. Quite like the look of the Specialized RH Pro Disc. Any advice welcomed.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my post.
Tony.

Hi. I have had a look at MTBs and Kona build a bike called the Hoss specifically for bigger "athletic" riders . Perhaps this will give you some ideas? Keep well!
