Shoe advice

Hi,
At the moment I have some Specialized Sport shoes which I'm using with spd's, there ok for riding but way to stiff when you need to walk so I want to get some new one's which flex more for when i'm off the bike. I will use them with my spd's but I also want to get some Crank Brother's Mallet's so they need to work clipped in and clipped out on the mallets (if you know what I mean ?)
Looked at the Shimano MT70, they look ok, anyone using these or some other suggestions ?
