Hey guys.

I have ridden my full suss for the first time in pissing down weather, no for some reason my magura hydro brakes squeel when I press down on the brakes lightly, but if I slam the brakes hard and skid this does not happen.

Can you guys let me know, is this normal in wet weather?

Thanks

The reason they don't make any noise when you 'slam the brakes hard' is because the pads have a solid grip on the disc - hence you skid. If the brakes are wet and lightly applied then sometimes they squeal. It's just what decent brakes do in the wet. When they get muddy then they may grind a bit as the dirt skims between the pad and disc, again this is normal.

However, as the brakes 'bed-in' the noise should reduce!
