Replacing Shimano Octalink Chainset

I have a Deore Octalink Chainset (m530) on my touring bike. Managed to snap the left crankarm through wear and tear and before that the BB was starting to creak anyway. What would people recommend for a quality replacement? Preferably one where I'm not going to wear through the crankarm.
