Hullo

Ive got about £200 to spend on some new wheels, maybe a wee bit more depending on how Mrs TT is feeling at the time... Im running R560s at the moment which I am pleased with.

Is it worthwhile upgrading? Alternatives I am looking at are;
- Ultegras
- Fulcrum Racing 5s
- Ksyrium Equipes

    hmm - i'm not sure that any of those wheels are that much of a step up from the R560's you have a the moment.

    I have the R561's on an older bike and they are pretty decent if a little heavy. I had to go to Eurus to get any real weight saving..

    I'd say it isn't worthwhile - sorry..
  • I was in a similar situation recently and consequently decided to buy as et of Esaton Vista SLs. £2o0 for the set from the local shop. I have not been disappointed as they are lighter, more responsive and much livelier going uphill.

    I was also looking at the same ones you have suggested but changed my mind. I have not regretted it yet. Good luck.
  • Thanks for the wisdom guys - kind of confirms my suspicions...i will heed the advice.

    I will wait until ive got some more cash together, or I might try the handbuilt route... Im sure I can get some nice open pro or rr 1.1s on ultegra with decent spokes for that kind of money....

    cheers
