Morning All

I have been looking at a set of carbon riser bars, I ride with Ergon GR2 grips (with the lil sticky up bar end type thingy) which I find incredibly comfortable however unfashionable bar ends maybe.

What bars would people recommend for this with hard trail/xc riding in mind and do you know of any warranty issues i.e Raceface whose warranty is void if you use bar ends?
Wow great ship man. Looks like a fish, flies like a fish, steers like a cow.

the bars need an alloy sleeve
  • I have a BBB riser bar I bought some years ago from my lbs which is carbon wrapped around an alloy core that is beefed at the ends to hold bars. I've just nipped out and shuffled the moveable clamps around to see that is an "INCA" and "fibre-something". Googling has revealed a few hits and will probably steer you right if you're interested.

I have curved bar-ends clamped on as much as to satisfy my latent paranoia as to help with hills

or the bikehut carbon handlebars from halfords have inserts for bar ends, not bad price either.
  • Intriguing option, hadn't thought of Truvativ for a bar tend to think of them more for cranks. A quick look at there site says the weight is 170g for the riser which isn't that bad. Will order one and see what its like come pay day.

    Cheers Prints :)
