Anyone know what I should be charging per hour for labour as a qualified bike mechanic
working out of a real shop?

  • Whatever you can get someone for!
Whatever it is, you'll probbaly not recoup the expense, a shop owner I know, many years back, had to say goodbye to his highly experienced mechanic (He would quite merrily strip & reassemble 3-speed hubs) and keep the young lad instead.

Find out what your nearest rivals charge. Then undercut them and make a big deal of it.
Or work out how much minimum you need to charge and then bump it up a bit and see at what price most customers are comfortable at (requires negotiating hourly rates)
    Do Nellyphants count?
