im looking for a new frame that i can use for everything, however with more emphasis on strength and durability for jumping/Dh work. So far i have looked at the santa cruz blur 4x and transition bottlerocket.Has anyone got any other suggestions or experience with these two frames?

Have a look at the Orange 5 or the patriot frame
Both get very high reviews and bike tests are on the
Orange web site
Ive gone for the Orange 5AM i do mainly trail XC riding so i may
have to replace the chain gaurd for a third cog
But have 6 inches of adjustable luxury at the front end !
The bike with this Fox fork is 29lb in weight
Not bad ah!!
Ok its a single pivot but done very well and you never hear of the Orange
bikes bolts coming loose or go missing?
Get some test bikes and try the bikes for the frame
Good luck0 -
if you want a frame you can beat the absolute sh*t out of, check this bad boy out

its got snappy handling so great for technical riding, is tough enough for abusing on slopestyle and Dirt Jumps (prototypes was tested in Whistler bike park for months without any issues), the suspension (floating virtual pivot) is firm until you case something and then it provides that needed cushion / safety margin...
frame is under 7lb in weight including Fox RP2 air shock, and its just £899 from Freeborn
ideally run it with 100-130mm fork
