Apologies first as I know this sort of question comes up all the time.
I'm really stuck regarding the choice of my new bike, I have £1000 to spend on a full susser but haven't a clue what to go for. I have a GT Agressor XC1 at the mo which is mostly used for red and black routes at Glentress and local rides. The new bike will be for more of the same but I'm not sure what would be best.
The shortlist at the mo is the Focus Suprbud, Spesh FSR XC Expert and Giant Trance 3.
Not sure if I'd need more of an All Mountain type rig or not.
Advice is needed please folks :?

Depends what your using it for. If its pretty light stuff, go for an xc type bike. A bit heavier and the al mountains your one.

Saracen have a nice offering if your not fussy about branding. Top notch kit for the price on a decent frame.0 -
well like I say, the heaviest stuff it would have to cope with typically would be the black route at glentress.
Don't want to be a snob about branding but I don't think I would go for a Saracen TBH
Any more advice people?????????0 -
aggreed, don't go for the saracen, thier full sus bikes tend to be heavy.
personally, there is little i won't ride on my short travel On-One inbred, if you're happy doing the trail on a hard tail then just get an all mountain bike.My signature was stolen by a moose
that will be all
