Can anyone tell me the approx weight that the spring inside a newly bought Pike 454 coil is best suited for?
Many thanks

    thats is about average.

thing to check is the sag.

put a cable tie on the leg just tight enough that it does not slide. then get on the bike push zip tie down then get into normal riding position, leaning on a wall helps. then unweight the fork (sit) then get of the bike and work out the sag. you want about 20-25% sag (as stated in the manual).

Too much sag stiffer spring, not enough sag softer spring. but if the forks are new let the sticktion come out of them by giving them some use/abuse.
