I've got a similar stand to that and to be honest it's fine for standing the bike upright, but a nightmare to do any work with. You would be better off buying a proper stand!0

thanks for the replies
since found the following two from wiggle site, but not sure if the cheaper one looks any good, where would it secure onto the bike as i need to change my bottom bracket so if its round there pretty pointless
not on a great budget so these two are only real option but would prefer cheaper if its suitable

thanks for your help0 -
personally I'd go with the lifeline one, the Topeak only looks good for work around the rear wheel, eg gears and brake alignment, no good if its the headset you're servicing..Brought to you by:

thanks for that, im doing a rebuild of my aggressor 3 from 2005 so am replacing chainset and bb so think in the long run best i pay the extra
getting nervous now as im doing a full overhaul of bike, only thing thats staying is frame and seat lol
thanks for replying0 -
I too have the budget Merlin stand and it is really good, better and stronger looking than that lifeline one for around the same cash.0

i got the cheapes park tools stand from CRC for around 80 quid. Well worth spending the extra. My mate has a 60 quid stand and it is terrible.0
