Mavic cassette - any good?

Have Shimano Ksyriums which I want to use on my Campag groupset. Options are to spend 35 quid or so on replacement freehub and then buy a new Campag cassette, or a just buy a mavic cassette. Anyone used a Mavic cassette? How does it perform compared to the mid range Campag cassettes (e.g. Centaur)?

    I have had several
    Have one now
    I like them
    Never had any problems at all
    Would compare them to maybe chorus?
    But they are expensive
