Hi,
I want to use my MTB for commuting but also be able to go along the towpaths - is there any good tyre recommendations out there for this kind of mixed use?
Thanks

I'm using Specialized Hemispheres for just such mixed usage (80% road, 20% towpath & other non-tarmac surface). Find them generally OK except that wet grass does get a bit slippy slidy.

Would still like to find something a bit more road biased myself though.

    I use Continental Travel Contact:

I got them because I was a bit worried about going for a full slick... These are great on road if you pump them up hard, and if you let them down a bit they've been fine for me on towpath/gravel tracks. I don't think they'd be great in real mud though.

Done about 700 miles and still look like new (still got some of the mold tags sticking out) so I imagine they're going to last pretty well.

I've done lots of towpath miles using 1.5" Schwalbe City Jets and found then decent for that as well as on-road.
