anybody recommend a good multi-tool to carry for all round swiss army style usability. Know that Topeak used to make really good ones but I'm sure they must have some decent challengers now.

    Topeak Alien II is a very good bit of kit, the chainsplitter is very good quality (as is the rest of the tool!)

    seconded, lovely little handheld toolbox.
  • New Lezyne tools meant to be good too.Also look at Crank Bros.

    topeak make some decent value kit, My multitool and minipump are made by them.
    Giant TCR advanced 2 (Summer/race)

  • i think they've got some reviews on bikeradar of multitools. maybe.
  • Can't fault my Topeak Alien DX at all.
    It has everything I need,and I haven't broken any of the tools on it yet..

    I have an Alien II but whilst it's a great tool, the weight and lack of pliers does detract from it's rating for me.

    A more basic tool, coupled with a pair of pliers would be my choice.

    ditto pretty much. pliers would be nice but i'm pretty happy with mine.
