you don't need iscg holes to mount a chain device you can buy an attachment for the e.13 device so it gets held on by the BB.
this is the one you'd need:

I've never seen the need to put one on..0

MRP do non ISGC chainguides:
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... delID=1477
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=17695
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... delID=7715
If you want to run an ISGC guide, then you will need an adapter:
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... delID=6195 (for ISGC old)
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=11453 (For ISGC 05)
Then you can run any ISGC guide, just check if its ISGC 05 or ISGC old.Intense Socom

I'm actually in the process of developing an E13 LG1 prototype for use with ORANGE frames. My WC rider, Rowan Sorrell, has had problems with the standard E13 backplates hitting the deck on the roller body rather that the taco.
So I' ve modified the backplate to sit the roller higher up. And after testing, we'll be sending our new backplate profies to Jonas at E13, so he can develop an ORANGE specific LG1 guide. It's going to take a short while to test the prototypes, but be patient, and I'm certain Jonas will have the finished article ready for the 09 season. It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.0 -
For the moment, if you run a STS on a 36T ring with BB mount, you can get pretty good clearance. It's not perfect yet!, but I|'m working on it.It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.0

woow thanks.. im building up an older patriot and needing a single chain ring guide with adapter...
just to check...
if i want ISCG05 i need:
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=11453
and for a guide... say...
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=33799
and that would fit on bottom bracket?
thanks0 -
what fitting do you have on the frame? some none or....
there are links in the tech links sticky with pics.
PS unlikely to be the 05 version."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

thanks for the quick reply
noo theres no fitting
that plate allows ISCG 05 i think haha0 -
so then you need to have a look at what device you want and if it comes or is available in the 05.
consider not may frames use it yet so the next frame or selling it on.
what cranks are you using thinking of using?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

thanks.... the reason i thaught the 05 one as it is newer so the guide could last..
ive built almost all of the bike but i realy kno nothing about bottombrackets, cranks n all that bit XD
i have some 4-bolt FSA cranks which i ride on my hardtail but i could buy some new cheap ones...
is there any differences is cranks other than the amount of bolts?0 -
different bb fittings etc some cranks will only work with the E13 with mods toi the bash etc etc etc..
so i would say there some other things to look at consider at the same time.
sorry not 100% on what cranks have issues.
but i would start a new topic for that..."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

thanks for all the help
cant have hoped for a better thread to find, i think im going to get the e-13 soon and adaptor.. and then try my cranks... if not ill search for more
