A small group of us are going to do a London to Paris ride later this year. We are doing it independently of the large charity organisations. Could anyone recommend any good resources offering information on routes, accomodation etc

Why not just do it for charity? So far as I know you can do London -> Paris for any charity you like...Even if the voices aren't real, they have some very good ideas.0

Most charitys want upwards of £1000 + in sponsor money anf £100 or so joining fee. I'm not saying riding for a charity is a bad thing, but we just don't want that financhial hassle. If you have any usful information please let me know. Thank

Why not try the discoveradventure open challenge then. FOr £700 you do the same route - and you can pretend your doing it for your own charity but you just use thier logistics.
Okay - I don't think they meant it to be used this way - but there is no one stopping you. Plus it is then fully supported..
