I am about to sell my 2005 Mint condition stumpjumper frame on ebay and don't know how much to put a reserve at.

The spec is;

2005 small stumpjumper FSR frame

It has had the shock serviced recently

I bought it new about 12months ago for £600

The frame was faced and headset fitted, £100

Black chris King headset, £125

Black thompson seatpost 3 months old, mint, £75

All in, about £900.

What should I expect to get?

Thanks,

Andy.

  • Theres only one answer to that.Put it on ebay,with a good description,good pics,set the reserve at what you`d actually be prepared to let it go for,and find out.........

    I assume you`ve had similar bikes on your ebay watch list ?

    Some nice parts on there,have you considered splitting?

    AllI know is even nice bikes and bike bits don`t make anywhere near their original cost.

    Check what recently sold similar frames have gone for, if they've all sold at what you regard as an acceptable price - don't bother with a reserve.

    I never use them because I know they put me off as a buyer. Why waste my time looking at an item that some greedy seller may have set a too-high reserve on?

    Do think about setting a buy-it-now at a price you'd be happy with also!
