Hello other commuters!

My last few posts have been a bit humpy. But I'm feeling a lot better now! So hello to the people I see every morning. (in edinburgh)
1) Old bloke on the meadows - hi there! You always say hello when I've just pegged it up the hill at the St James Centre, up the bridge and along Chambers Street. I just nod back, but I;m too knackered to say hello properly
2) Woman cycling towards me at the other end of the meadows - you seem to not realise that when you ride a bike in a miniskirt people can see your knickers. Nice knickers btw - today's were lovely (black lace).
2.5) If she's wearing trousers tomorrow she reads this forum
3) Young lad that RLJ's in front of me everyday on a bmx - I know your dad. I bet you didn't know THAT.
4) woman with every possible pannier and a cello (I'm pretty sure) on back - where are you going that you need so much stuff? Every day!?

That is so nice..........
I have been commuting for a few weeks now (in Switzerland not Edinburgh) and non of the guys who are coming the other way even nod in acknowledgment!
There aren't many of us so they must recognise me (plus I am fairly reflective!! )
BUT I would just like to join in the Hello s:
Hi to all of them! Even the guy who overtook me this morning!!
Hey tardie
(By the way were you worried that I may be the lassie with the lacy knickers??)0 -

Now why can I never see anything like that on my commute...... :?0 -
there's a woman who wears a short pleated skirt on my commute. She doesn't seem to realise that once the wind picks up her skirt lifts at the back and her pants are visible for miles around.
She wears quite plain knickers though - no black lace for her.0 -
mibbees its an edinburgh thing......
I think I may have seen the lady with the cello in the meadows (sometimes i go through the meadows if im in a hurry, but usually like to go through the queens park instead. to leith walk), and have seen numerous ladies with veritable belts on (my favorite is one who uses the gym at the omni centre who wears a grey skirt/suit, but the skirt is TINY)Whenever I see an adult on a bicycle, I believe in the future of the human race.

If I leave my house special early I get to see (perhaps your woman) arriving at the omni gym, but in full spandex kit. Lovely.0 -

I think if you email me a picture, I can let you know...
She normally has pink pants on. It just stuck in my mind today. 8)0 -
I made the skirt mistake last spring when I returned to cycling. First commute in a while and I don't know what I was thinking... It was not a short skirt but it was fairly light/floaty and it flew up as I went over Vauxhall Bridge...haven't made that mistake again.
Sometimes wear a mini wrap skirt over my cycling tights though...particularly if I plan going somewhere off the bike in my cycling clothes, makes them slightly more normal looking. At least I like to think so...!0 -
I'd just like to say hi to the girl I pass in Long Ashton (the real LA!)
She usually wears a skirt that doesn't fly up, no furtive glimpse of knickers for me - it just obscures her rear lights.
(I've told her as much on two separate occasions this year)
Wonder if she'll change to a miniskirt to sort this problem"Impressive break"

that would seem the reasonable thing to doWhenever I see an adult on a bicycle, I believe in the future of the human race.
