I'm after getting a mini multi tool (only hex keys), something i can just pop in my pocket as i don't have a bag at the mo. Looking at ether the Topeak Mini 9 or the Park I-Beam 2 but before i decide i was wondering if anyone knows the size or the park one ? i already know the length of the Topeak tool. Also anyone used both ? if so what did you think of both ?. I like the fact the Topeak one comes with a neoprene Bag.

  • they are both very good and handy bits of kit, i dont think you will notice any real difference between the two, so its all down to personal choice.

Park I-Beam 2 is great really good in the hand and easy to use..i upgraded to a big crank bros job and hate it so am gonna get a bigger park..

not sure i'd want to carry it arround in a pocket, how about a small saddle bag?
  • No room for a saddle bag, i run the seat low so a bag would just hit the back tyre. @papasmurf, as you have the i-beam 2 do you think you could let me now the length of it when the tools are folded away? thanks

A former colleague had one of the Park allen key tools and it was always an absolute pleasure to use it when helping him work on his bike.

I think the actual keys are superior to the ones on my Topeak Alien - which is still a high-quality tool.

my g/fs got it now I have the CB one..from memory its just a bit bigger then a lighter..I rode round kirroughtree with mine in my baggies knee pocket and it wasn't noticable..though I was concentrating more on the crank staying on...
