I recently brought a GT avalanche 1.0. Its got pretty good components throughout, however I'm having problems with my disc brakes. They are Tektro Aurigo Comp, they started off sharp as all hell, but are now spongy as all hell. This is my first bike with hydraulic disc brakes, so I took it to my local bike shop, who bled them, but they still don't feel any better. Any ideas??????

May need another bleed if spongey.

Could be a range of things.
If one of the pistons is sticking, hold one in with a tyre lever or something and squeeze the lever to get the other piston freed up. Might want to try that with some old pads though. Its usually something to do with the caliper if its properly bled and the hosing is the correct length.
Also check the caliper is centred. And hope that you havent contaminated the pads or the rotor.

The augiros are relatively spongy anyway, theyre only a basic pair.
