I went to change my forks a few minutes ago and my hub literally fell apart when i took the 20mm axle out. i inspected the inside and it was seized solid. time to get a new wheel i think. its a toss up between a front halo SAS to match my rear one or a pro2 on MTX, which is also exactly 50p cheaper  . are CRC good at building wheels? and how quickly do they take to come? as i would like them to come by the weekend as i'm going to wentwood and then cwmcarn  . Thanks again!!

  • Merlin get the nod for custom built wheels over CRC. I think that is the general opinion anyway.

One of the nipples on my 719's on pro 2's went after about 50 miles xc.. Pretty gutted, fixed now though. Just going out to give it a test.
  • Both me and my brother have ad custom wheelsets from CRC.

I have 719 discs with XT hubs.
He had hope xc hubs with 719's also.

    Both with DT competition spokes.

Both wheel sets were perfect. I have no experience with Merlin, however i know they take a bit longer to get wheels built and sent. CRC got me my wheels within 3 days of placing the order.

I could not recommend anyone but CRC for wheelets.
