Hi all
Read about this in Cycling Plus and wondered if this might be a good first sportive for me? Slightly concerned that the 'classic' nature of the route might be a bit much for my Allez - is it worth going for some beefier tyres maybe (don't want to kill my bike - can't afford a replacement just yet!)? Quite excited at the prospect of riding on local roads (there's some surprising short, nasty hills around Rutland), has anyone on here ridden previous editions? I've no TT's planned for June at the moment, so thought it would make a nice change mid-season.

I am entered for this one. Just waiting for confirmation that I have been accepted.
I am not planning to use my Full Carbon Super Six for it!
I am going to run a full aluminium CAAD9 with 105 and Ksyrium SLs. Would go for a less stiff wheelset, but I haven't got anything more suitable. Am testing the theory with the Scotton 100, but I may use a Caad 9 Cross bike for both..... I reckon your Allez will be fine and dandy!0
