I know its a long shot but does anyone remember those plastic discs you used to be able to get to bolt on each side of your bike wheels. Mainly seen on mountain bikes. Does anyone know where I can get one from but to fit a 700c wheel????? Like I said long shot :D

Not a long shot at all. A company in America makes them, they're called wheel covers and are used in time trialling as either a cheap substitute for a disc or to turn a powertap equipped wheel into a disc.

Hypocrisy is only a bad thing in other people.
  • You haven't got the name of the company or web site address by any chance have you? :D

These are the ones that most people use (or at least the ones I have heard mentioned the most).

I have a pair of those wheel covers from wheelbuilder. They do make a difference if you are not too serious a racer, and have the advantage of a disc wheel without the weight and expense.
