worth fitting an ISCG 05 adapter to non ISCG frame?

so is this recommended/ necessary? - can you just not nip up a non ISCG Chain device in the correct position using the bottom bracket shells, or will this clamp up not prevent the guard from spinning?

hmm doesnt appear to be an BB mount only E13 DRS, guess its an adapter then?
Or would a ISCG05 still be able to be nipped up with the BB, not using the mounts?
