    i can't remember which bike shop it was, but they'd happily send one of the lads out to ride the bike down a muddy trail to make it look like it was second hand or used and thus not a new bike giving the option of

    I'm divorced and single again with girlfriend(s) so I don't get told what to spend my money on, heaven forbid!

    But I wouldn't listen anyway to any woman moaning about how many bikes I had.

    Just explain that collecting bikes is essential for your mid-life crisis* & would she prefer that you ran off with an 18 year old yoga instructor

    * A particularly early or late one if you can't quite stretch to middle age

    This is like me and my husband - I encourage him to splurge on gear so that I don't feel guilty when I want to buy something new.
