Does anyone own a Blu-ray Laptop

Hey guys
Im thinking of spending about 1000.00 on a laptop and wanting Blu-ray.
Is it worth it?
If Yes would you recomend spending that little bt extra and getting a re-write Blu-ray or just stick to the 800.00 player only.
Been looking at the sony FZ31 but any other brand would be apprecitated.
