Crossrides or XT/DT XR4.2?

I'm after a new set of Wheels for my Kona Kikapu.
I have a budget of £150 max
I lean more towards trail riding than full on XC or freeride (I don't do crazy downhill and don't do drops bigger than 2-3 feet).
I want a set of wheels that will last (the rear deore hub that came with the bike hasn't lasted well at all), are easy to service, will take all I'm likely to throw a them without grumbling and which weigh as little as I can get away with.
Most importantly though I need to be able to get spares easily in New Zealand, 'cos I'm moving there for at least a couple of years in April.
Looking around the Crossrides look good value and very pimpy, but I can also get a pair of XT hubs laced to either DT XR4.2 rims or Mavic XC717s or XM719s for similar money.
Any thoughts?

I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

i just got a set of xt, xm719's and dt db black spokes from merlin, really good build quality so that's what i'll recommend.0

have you considered Halo?
they have some very reasonable priced wheels which come on spin doctor hubs.
just a thought.0 -
I'd always thought Halo were DJ/FR oriented and therefore way overbuilt for what I do.I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.0

Melin do a Magura Comp wheelset for £149, wich is actually DT Onyx hubs, DT swiss Spokes and DT455 rims, strong, light and hubs will last forever, at a great price. Easy to convert to tubeless also with DT Eclipse kits. All built by DT. They are great I've got a set and couldn't recommend them highly enough.0

719 or 819 on xt with db spokes from merlin. Superb build for wheels, really good. My 717 on deore are still going strong despite 2' drops and no maintenance.0

Looked on Merlin, no sign of 'em.

Go for the XM719s as above - a great trail/all mountain rim.
There are a lot of fans on here - and paired with a Hope Pro II hub make a excellent combo.0 -
Xt on mavic rims - cheap, light and durable.0
