FINALLY! That headset is just the biz, especially paired up with the hightlights on that badge. You taken her out for a spin yet?

  • looks really nice, i'd be slightly worried about the abuse those rims'll take, just considering how much of a hooligan the bike'll make you!

Well I went for the XM rims rather than XC for that reason - I'll see how I get on with them.

For now my favourite bit has to be the rotors. I'm a tad concerned about the rear one though, it sits very, very close to the chainstay!!

Took her out yesterday - She loved it. Much better than the old GT, but then again its a different bike altogether.

If you are even considering buying this bike then just do it - She is wonderful!

Its sweet mate, we were out on them over the weekend and he was like a kid on christmas day, bless him! Wharncliffe this weekend, hopefully with my new rig as well(assuming my chuffing headset arrives from the states!), or it will be ye old faithful.

Very good for him as well as he is 6'7" and from seeing it on the weekend I think it is the ideal choice of build.

Superb GT, nice detailing, nice rotors and nice use of carbon, well worth waiting for.
  • Those rotors do indeed look massive!

What sort of riding? Apart from the huge brakes, it looks like a pretty racey XC machine to me.

Not sure to be honest - They are kind of foating but not in the traditional way? The spokes look great, they are coated in black, the black that you see, but on the inside edge you can see the metal, its like a cross-section.

Correct Cheesey - I am over the moon with it. Its just a shame I'm on a late shift this week or I'd be out on it every night!

Well thats a good question. Its aggressive XC/freeridey stuff. I want to be able to do Dalby red for example, but still be happy to take on black and doubleblack stuff, northshore, and general silliness on it around the local park. which has old bandstands, steps, old bus shelter things etc....
I was aware that the frame isn't the lightest thing in the world so I opted for the carbon fibre stuff to compensate for that, plus I have good experience of the Ritchey stuff and love it
