Hi, got diatech hydraulic brakes and they are siezed on. The levers are locked out too. The bike has been out in my shed for about 8 months without moving at all due to a serious leg injury to myself. I am having an op friday to sort the leg so i can run and ride again. Got the bike out and the front is totally locked up with the rear having minimum movement. Any help would be very welcome.
Cheers. Brooky.

if it is the sport there should be a torx bolt on the top and bottom of the resi while the anchors have the resi cap on the top.

  • erm..... And in English please!! I have no idea what torx bolt is, i guess the resi is the resevoir on the brake lever? What do i need to do undo torx bolt and let the fluid out? Some of it? Feel my shame...

maybe. but the thread in the bleed hole is the same as the one that comes with the avid bleed kit. i would attach the avid syringe to the mater cylinder and try sucking out a bit of fluid.

but first have ago pushing the pistons back in.

  • I dont recall having an avid bleed kit with the set i bought. I just handed it over to the shop. I will have a play with it tomorrow, if all else fails i'll take to a bike to the shop... Dont really want to do that tho.. how hard can it be? What has actually happened?? I have not riden it for ages its just been sat still?
