Juicy Pad Spacer

Was going to have a go at bleeding my Juicy 7's this afternoon, but after watching the YouTube vid it's clear I need a pad spacer (or the pistons will close up). Anyone know where I can purchase such an item, didn't get one with bleed kit or with the bike when new.

Is there anything else I could use instead to keep the pistons apart during the bleed, bit of wood, biscuit, etc.?

Advice / recommendations please.

  • anything will usually do, your calipers wont defiantly close, there is a possibility that they will, you would easily get away with putting something else solid enough between them, failing that go to your local bike shop, they will have loads and may even give you one.

    money.

as the jucy bleed is clean i just do it with the bike as is.

just about the only brakes i leave every thing in place.

but if first time some washers and a cable tie to hold them in place.

    Folded up cardboard works well.

Cheers guys, I do have a propensity to go out and buy every bit of kit going, I'm sure the missus will be pleased I can improvise.

    Thanks
