Draggin brakes

My brakes keep dragging... They are 06 hayes hfx-9s. I've tried pushing the pistons back into the calliper but they just stick next time i pull the lever. Are they supposed to go back easily, cause it takes a lot of effort just to make them move. Any idea whats wrong?

caliper aligned correctly? pistons covered with crap?

when were they last serviced?

Have a read of the brake FAQ. Also many other posts on the same topic - if none help, post back! Sounds like the seals need cleaning and lubing.

Ok, they're pretty damn dirty. Cleaned them up, still sticking... What should i use for lube? And they aint been serviced in months, would it be an idea to take it to the bike shop?

If you are not confident (I take it you have the manual) then I'd let the shop do it.
