Ok thats slightly (really) annoying!

About 2/3 weeks back I subscribed online to Cycling Plus magazine... turns out if I waited them 2-3 weeks I could also have had a free £35 carbon pump :(
- just seen an advert for it :x

How unlucky is THAT????

you tried claiming it retrospectively as a good will gesture
  • Bummer indeed. But was there no freebie with the subscription deal you went for? I thought there was one running permanently and it just changed occasionally - I got a Squire D-lock...

nah I saved 30% of the cover price thats about it.. Perhaps i got the extra 15% off instead of the freebie?

I "did" get a CD with my mag (guide to ultimate sportive) but I'm guessing that just came standard with the mag lol.

Do they tend to put freebies on the magazine alot?

Maybe, I don't take a lot of notice of the subscription deals since I'm already a subscriber but I got the impression there was usually some free gift involved when you sign up.

The DVD was just standard with the mag, they do put freebies on the cover from time to time. Usually a booklet supplement on some particular subject, some of them are quite informative but nothing to get too excited about.

I subscribed to C+ about a month/6 weeks ago and got the pump.

Now they seem to have Specialized freebies, which I think I would have prefered.

I've tried subscribing through the link on the page above but it just says that the pump offer has expired anyway.

i bought C+ frim Smiths yesterday for the first time (great mag BTW 8) ) and it mentions the Specialised offer in there.

mebbe time to change the banner guys?

    Cheers

    Chris :)
Racing snakes. It's not big, and it's not clever ;)
  • I have a subscription to Cycling weekly. They always have an offer on, but if you look at the figures, it isn't worth it. I could have had an Altura Jacket worth £40 from memory, with my subscription. If I went for the Magazine only option, which isn't advertised as much, it works out £40 cheaper.

You never get something for nothing in my experience! But that may just be me!
