XACD Fork sizing help please
Im looking to buy a Titanium frame from XACD
Can anyone who bought an XACD ti frame (Im thinking of the track bike but the road bike HT looks the same) tell me what fork steerer diameter fits this?
Presumably it uses a non-integrated headset, I dont have enough experience just to tell from their drawings?
Did anyone buy one of their carbon forks? Any feedback?
Many thanks in advance
James

Hi James
Yes, I have three from XACD. The first one was off-the-peg and came with a 1" ahead head tube. I got the carbon forks from XACD at the same time, but was a bit disappointed by the standard of finish which was nowhere near as good as the Ti frame (there were a few marks on them). Having said that they have behaved faultlessly for nearly four years, so the build quality must be OK.
The latter two frames have been custom built, and I specified 1 and one eighth head tube for them.
I would recommend the custom-built option - for £25 you can specify exactly what you want, from angles to braze-ons

1.125" is pretty well standard these days - integrated headsets are about $50 extra from XACD. I'd just specify exactly what you want, but my choice would be non-integrated and a decent after-market fork.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
