It was given to me, but just wondering if anyone knows what it actually is?
Unfortunately it is now in a different country so I can't look at it again, but it was quite comfy and was hoping to find something similar. Weighed 290g

It's looks similar to the san marco ponza that came on my focus but without the branding. TBH I got rid of it as it wasn't great.

Looks very similar to Selle Italia C2, but without the logos.

    That's closer than my thoughts!!
  • Wow - that was speedy! Thanks - that does look very close. Am currenlty trialling a Selle Italia SLR Gel Flow, but I think I want something a little softer. I'll keep going for the moment, but I don't think I ride often enough for my rear to become accustomed to the SLR. Certainly don't want to be breaking myself in every time I've had a stint off the bike.

The saddle I posted was second hand, so would have been softened up, but I was able to do 40km easily in standard sport shorts sans padding (was on holiday and didn't have my cycling shorts). Didn't even manage 10km with my new SLR with padded shorts before my sit bones felt bruised.

Will keep an eye out for the C2 in the shop next time and see whether Selle Italia make that model any softer. Otherwise I may have to try out an Fizik Arione as they seem to be quite popular and did seem quite comfortable iwhen sitting on a bike in the shop the other day.
  • Its a velo model that used to come on some Airbornes as standard. I have a brand new one with the words CARBON on the suede scuff areas. I can send you pics if you like. PM me your e mail address and I will send pics to you. I have it for sale in other area. The one I have has Titanium rails and is higher spec than the one you show with CrMO rails. Light and Comfy. It is an exact match to the Velo model and not the C2
