Rockopper Disc vs Rockhopper Comp

Looking to buy an '08 Rockhopper at the end of the month and i'm trying to work out if the Rockhopper Comp version is worth the extra 150 notes over the Rockhopper Disc?
The Specialized website states the following differences:
Rockhopper Disc Rockhopper Comp
RS Tora 302 SL RS Recon Race SL
LX rear mech XT rear mech
M422 Octalink chainset M521 Octalink chainset
Alex RHD rims DT Swiss 445D rims
Are the components on the Rockhopper Disc of good enough quality? Or are they more or less similar to those on the Comp?
I mainly ride at trail centres (Llandegla Blue & Red) and preferably like to keep both wheels on the ground.

Both are good value - you are getting what you pay for. The extra money goes into slightly lighter, better performing parts.0

Will i notice the Recon forks are much better than the Tora's? Will i find shifting alot smoother with the upgraded chainset and rear mech? And are the DT Swiss rims alot lighter/sronger than the Alex ones?0

They use exsactly the same internals, the major difference is the lighter chassis of the Recon. They will feel very similar. You'll have to look up the rim weights.0
