Dont know why but this morning had one of those days, so many drivers who were wishing they were on their bikes. Or else forgetting they werent on their bikes.

In situations like that where there is traffic nose to tail and encroachment does roof tapping or mirror clipping come into play?
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    * The only time Ive ever touched a car was when it encroached into the cycle lane next to me and had its tyres rubbing on my feet, I steadied myself against its window...

Really I want an air zound, but for now I normally shout "watch the cycle lane" or "you're in the cycle lane" or "nice bike". I spend an awfull lot of time filtering down the outside as well. But join the cycle lane again when it gets to solid white lines down the centre, or where theres a line of cars leaving a considerate amount of space for the cycle lane or just because I see a situation developing.

*edit Thats not true Ive just remembered last time I had a day like this I politely knocked on the window of one car driving in the cycle lane and did the same to a transit who did a horrendous cut up of the cyling lane in front of me. But the first one I mentioned is the only time Ive touched a car with any force.

nah, you hit the drops, pedal faster and start humming "danger zone" (theme from top gun) and pretend to be a fighter plane taking evasive manouvers

makes the rush hour commute quick and fun.

That song is one VERY good reason not to have an ipod on the bike
